I don't know, just haven't gotten around to thinking about it.  Posting pictures is ahead of avatars in priority and I haven't even gotten to that yet:)  Right now the tiller is idling outside, waiting for me to turn the soil (2nd time) in the kitchen garden.  There's also the chicken cage and the coop to be done.

I changed heating bulbs in their box yesterday.  This is a red colored bulb, the poultry theory being that it isn't as harsh on their little chicken eyes and they are a little less likely to peck each other to death (the blood doesn't stand out as much.  Yesterday I also gave them their first earthworms to play with.  Man, was that a hoot.  Whoever temporarily had custody of the worm was chased all over the box until another seized it.  and on and on until I tired of watching.  Fun.

Do you have pics on your myspace or TT?  and if so, which one do you like best?

Do you like this one?

That is nice, one of my favorites because I worked for Walmart for 5 years and know first hand how much they reall suck.  Good memories.  Assuming you got that from trailjournals, my favorites are either me sitting on the ledge at McAfee Knob and me sitting in a hot tub while staying in a condo in Wintergreen, Va.  They all tickle me for different reasons.

first of all you need to be able to resize a pic; are you able to?  if you have photobucket, it should be a snap.

if not, give me a pic here, i'll do the edit work and repost, then all you have to do if follow the directions below.

click on the pics i made above and save to one of your picture folders.

then go to "my control center" on this page.
then "avatar options"
then "edit my files"
use the "browse" button to find those pics.
select
open
submit
place a check next to the file you want to use

and voila!

Yeah, Chappy's got it, that's the one.  I forgot about it.  Can't do much today, it's 4:30 a.m. and I'm getting ready for an important 8:30 meeting.  There will be a very late poultry report, if any, today.  I can hear 'em peeping 2 stories below, so they must be okay:)

No coffee, no report:)  Just got back from the basement and everyone is doing well, but very hungry.  They managed to eat all their food yesterday, something that's never happened before.  I poured 4 big insulated coffee mugs of feed in their feeder and will check it several times during the day.  I think I've said they've more than doubled in size in two weeks and are starting to become less chick and more chicken like in appearance.  In other words, damn teenagers.

I must expand their living space today (add another box).  I'll do this after I have breakfast and take a shower.  Yesterday would have been a great day to take them outside.  Alas, their cage is not done.  I'm also running out of time on the coop.  It's going to be a hoot getting them out of the basement.  The best I can think of is carrying a max of two chickens at a time...12 trips up and down the stairs with petrified chicks (if they really were, they wouldn't squirm and wiggle that much).  There may be a simpler way.  Were my carpentry skills a little more adequate, perhaps I'd build a chicken elevator, but since I can't seem to finish the chicken cage, an elevator isn't very likely.
