Well, let's see.  My little one roomed school house (Rockburn School Number 10 AD 1830 - 1968) doesn't really have a gear closet per se.  When you walk through the front door there are snowshoes leaning against the wall on the left and a rack of clothes that includes down parka, down sweater, Gore-Tex parka and climbing bibs (full side zips), fleece sweater and pants (full velcro zips), dress Gore-Tex parka, Fishing jacket, wool deer hunting jacket (mackinaw) and LL Bean wool pants with blaze orange rucksack, Orvis brown camouflage floatation parka, work jacket, winter barn coat, slicker, dress coat and an Aquascutum top coat.  On the shelf a box of hats and gloves.

On the left a deer head (missed B&C by -10 points) and at the right by the vestibule door an LL Bean pack basket with hiking poles, shooting stick, avy shovel, stick (officer's) and snow picket sticking out.  Above it a 30 litre rucksack with my ID bivy sack in it.  Above that my 40 l pack with my two man, four season tent stored in it and my winter Thermorest.  Above that my 30 l climbinng pack containig harness, helmet and hardware.  Oh yes, rows of boots, leather, plastic, Dynafit AT, 3 pin randonnée, rubber wellingtons, deer hunting boots and light hikers.

Once in, to the right is my bedroom.  In the closet is my rope in a rope bag and a line winder on the shelf, along with my summer and winter sleeping bags in large storage bags.  In three corners are my skis (a fourth-waxless pair will be there for next winter):  G3 (www.genuineguidgear.com) Barons with Dynafit AT bindings, Karhu Canadian army backcountry skis with Silvretta 500 AT bindings and Karhu light touring.  In the fourth corner is a double barrelled twelve gauge (illegal storage).

I have a locking cabinet/closet that has my Ithaca M37 12 ga., Beretta Pigeon Grade 20 ga. SXS, Marlin 336 in .35 REM. with Williams peep and fire sights and Marlin sling swivel bbl. band and sling, custom stocked Savage M99 in .308 Win. with a Redfield Widefield 2¾X 'scope on Redfield SR mounts and Browning sling, 8' Orvis Battenkill (split cane) two tip rod for AFTMA #6, 8½' Hardy Palakona (split cane) for AFTMA 6 (I use DT5), 7' & 6' Browning Silaflex spinning rods (remember those?).  On the shelf: Grohmann's Russell Design Award belt knife, Buck 119 camp knife, Rapala filetting knife, whet stone, Dam Quick (GER.) spinning reels, leader box.  On hooks: Hardy fishing bag storing Hardy Marquis fly reel (No.6) and spare spool, many trinkets and tippet spools, Steiner (Bayreuth, Ger.) 8X30 porro prism binoculars, First Need water purifier, wicker creel, net and wading stick.

That's about all I can think of right now.

Kayak in buddy's barn, mountain bike in the shed.

Oh yes, MSR stainless cook set holding a plastic measuring cup and an MSR Whisperlite stove.  Thermosses and stove stand, et c. in kitchen cupboards.

In bedroom dresser: TNF Expedition mitts and Dachstein wool mitts, fleece mitts and G-Tex overmitts (all in Ziplocs), Smatwool socks, et c.

Aaargh!  I forgot my 70 l pack hanging on my bedroom door with my Bearicade canister in it and my lightweight Thermarest.  Alos the Charlet-Moser ice ax and Grivel fourth tool on the 40 l pack and the two ice tools (Azars) on my climbing pack - I hope I'll be able to climb again after the operation.  Also two pairs of crampons on the entrance shelf.
