Hyway how many "wet wipes" would it take for you to feel "better" about the whole proposition (LOL). One of my hiking buddies went on a one month trip on the AT with his "girlfriend". Sadly there was a week long stretch without access to "shower" facilities....

LOL...on the top of the list of "golden memories" was the afternoon my unit was set up (we had accomplished 3 of 4 objectives for the operation by Saturday around noon) taking a much needed break. The Sgt sent my spotter and I down to the river to watch for anyone coming up river. The current was so strong we figured it wouldn't happen but we set up our ghille mesh and camoflagued ourselves in a small depression on the side of the river.

About 15 minutes after we got there my spotter taps my elbow and points "up river". I turned and there was one of our officers, a female Captain down at the river. She was looking around real closely and then we watched as she pulled off her web gear, reached into her butt pack and pulled out a small towel and some soap.

She stripped down and was wearing this body suit looking thing (like spandex) and she proceeded to wade into the water and wash off. We were in shock and being college kids just were speechless.

After a couple of minutes I feel something against my elbow, it was MSGT Gonzales, I looked at him and raised my eyebrows and he whispered "I miss my wife so much right now."
