It was a good weekend.  NGB and I went down to Hattiesburg for the day on Saturday to visit my Aunt and yesterday was a day to relax and veg out.

I've decided that the weekend will start today.  Hump day is a natural time for it to start, so why the Hell not?

Potential poor weather on the way, but who cares?  It's the WEEKEND!!!!  lol.  I'll pull out some steaks and fixings, gets some bEEr and have a little shin dig, by golly.

I gotta shower; I smell like a 1.50 whore.

We're going to the art and living green fair in downtown tonight.  First we'll have dinner at one of the many fine yet to be determined eateries downtown; then stroll the streets a looking at all of the fine work of our great local artists.  And THEN, the greats thing of all; a free concert by none other than "Goober and the Peas"!  They've reunited after a 15 year lay off; a fine cowpunk ensemble and true local classic!

I'll be sure to have a fine local brew for each and every one of you all.

Start a collecting that bail money, honey!  It's gonna be a shin DIG!!

FU -- Nope, east side of the state, north of D-Town proper.

Pass along my "good luck" to stepbro; perhaps I'll curate / care for his work one day.

Whelp, no jail for me but a damn fine time I had, yeppers.  We had a fine spread at Rosie's after checking out the artwork (which is f - ing great), shuffled across M-1 (the elephant ears stand was closed :(  ) and loaded up on beer for the show.  We strolled around the DIY part of the place; checked out some D-Town garb (typical machine shop themed crapola) chugged beer from WAB and generally prepped fer da shew.

The little guy got a real kick outta the band.  I was surprised to learn that this was the boys first concert.  I gotta fix that.  They kept saying "Dad!  I can feel the music vibrating my chest!"  That was cute; I had forgotten about that.  I think I've built up an immunity to it; but I remember it well.

Anywho, the band was fracking awesome and the crowd really dug it.  It was good to the Goober after all of these years.  The last time I saw them they played at a venue in D-Town proper and brought the house down with their version of "Whole Lotta Love".  They didn't play it last night; I'm a little bummed because we (the crowd) didn't get to play Bingo.  Oh well, maybe next time.

Just remember:  Loose Lips, Sink Ships -- and I love the water ....

Just got back from driving 3 hours on the road for a course project.  It going to be a bugger because of the distance, but again -- a chance to help make a difference so we can't pass it up.

However, what a beautiful day for a drive.  It's about 88* out there; big change from the 50's and 60's we've had over the last couple of weeks.  I wish I coulda got one more Sol time to even out my farmers tan; oh well.

Wow, didn't realize it was staying so warm down south. Weather has been down in the 50's for a few days here. Back up in the 70's for the rest of the week now. Actually had some frost already
