lol.  No matter how many times I see that avatar I still get a kick out of it.  Hope all is well with you and yours, nigal.

While we've been pummeled economically here in the Great State of Michigan, I see signs of a recovery on the way.  While driving to and from the Outpost yesterday, I noticed that a great deal of property is off the market.  The restaurant we go to in town was packed to the rafters; it is very early in the season for this to occur and the staff said that it was a welcomed change after a lot of years of rough times. 

I'm a little concerned about my back thingy.  It ebbs and flows, but has not gone away and has gotten a lot worse in the last couple of days.  I've noticed that an ill-fitting computer chair may be making matters worse.

We've got a little drama in the league.  Seems we have a former local athletic "hero" is trying to re-live vicariously through our league.  He's pulled a couple of bullshit "moves" in order to stack both teams he runs.  He's gone so far to poach one of my real good rookies off of my team.  The guy is trying to put together a travel level team in a rec level league.  If this was Federation level, I wouldn't give a shit.  But seeing the rec level is the lowest level out there, and a lot of these kids just want to have fun, this is a little out of bounds.  But, I think that he'll be in for a little surprise when he faces our team, considering the amount of talent and potential I hope to hone.

#2's B-day is on the way this upcoming weekend and I've been busy getting everything in order.  It's hard thinking that he's going to be 7 years old now; where has the time went?

My B-day is two days after his and while I've lost the spotlight, I've put my request in for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants of all time:

Got an appointment in an hour about this back issue.  Not looking forward to it, but it would be nice to know why I'm having trouble.

Good morning latta peeps!

I have totally lost my mind. Just so you know. This Friday my child is having six friends over for a sleepover which will include pizza, water guns, tie-dye tshirts, and a 3d movie. I'm seriously going to need a week to recover from this event. Anyone wanna come and help?

Ah, jen ... these will be the days that you look back and say "what a great time that was".  Hang in there and hold on!

Welp, the Doc appt. went about as good as it could.  Doc said my explanation of what was going on was something that someone my age shouldn't be going through.  My reflexes in my legs was really poor and he was pretty concerned.  They ran tests on me and X-Ray'd the Hell outta me and everything came back golden.   He's preliminarily diagnosed me as having a localize, bad back spasm and gave me some Mega Motrin and stretching exercises.  The following night, I had the best sleep in about a month and I feel really good from then on.  Better living through chemistry!

Rehabing and kicking the Hell outta the honey do, no time to waste!

Jumping Josephat; what a month.  Memorial Day was sokay, spent the weekend at the Outpost and had some fun.  Right after, I had to pack up for Field School then leave for a week.  Drove back in on Sunday night then started to prep for our first baseball game last night; which we wound up winning at the last minute. 

Seems as though we've got some trouble makers in the da hood; some neighborhood hoodlums have decided to not abide by the local laws and have taken to helping themselves to what ever they want.  The local police folks and I have become pretty good friends over the last month or so.  They've got a huge trash pile out in front of their house this week; perhaps they'll be finding new digs somewhere else soon.
