I've done nothing but lay on the couch all day; and I don't regret it one bit. Yeah, I've got some stuff to do, but I need a recharge day after the week I had. Watched multiple episodes of Deadliest Catch and ate lunch.
I got to do some shopping; online of course. REI is having a pretty good sale and you know I have real issues resisting a gear deal or five. Hey, you can't save unless you spend.
Ordering out for dinner tonight; I made a kick ass pot roast that knocked everyone's socks off --- but that means there is none left for lunch today. Booooo!
Weekend is blank. I'm trying to talk the wife into heading out to the outpost for a day or two. I've got to do some work out there and the locals are having quite a ta do this weekend; sounds like it's time for some local culture sampling.

jenten.....awesome!
Its always a great time to be outside regardless of where it may be....hope you kept toasty and dry....it was a bit nippy this weekend.....was this a solo gig? You know what jenten, and don't tell no one, i'm a scare-dee cat when I solo hike...i'm afraid of the dark and so I bring a small teddy bear to snuggle with....glad you had a nice time!

Ha! I almost believe you, Loopey! No, this wasn't a solo trip. I have done quite a few solo trips though. I don't get scared too often. If I do get scared, I hunker down in my sleeping bag. I'm afraid of the dark too. =)

Looking back on the weekend, I feel like I partied too much. I didn't make a meal for the fam all weekend because we sampled the fine cuisine of local and regional Michigan master chefs, never had an issue accessing the finest beers and wine, kicked all forms of ass known and predicted in class tonight -- kinda livin` large like a boastful Beastie Boys vintage rhyme. I did work some; fortified the outpost, cleaned and laundered the Estate, walked an old lady across the street and taught my youngest Chinese. Only three outta the four really happened; I'll let y'all decide. The usual is on tap for this weekend. Gotta make sure my secretary schedules my proper nap time; I tend to grump-out if I'm not properly maintained. |

Its a wee bit cloudy this morning but it doesn't look like rain.....

I've had an oil leak and an exhaust leak for a long time and finally convinced myself to do the repairs rather than "wasting" money and ego taking it to a shop. Wasted a good Saturday instead. Now I'm waiting for shipment of the parts I tore up accidentally to put it back together. But I enjoyed driving my wife's car to work. It has tunes. |

well jammedtoe, not knowing the context....it just seemed really funny and I had these hilarious visuals of some nutcase taking apart his engine and tossing the parts all about the driveway....I guess its one of those things that "you had to be there".....carry on mate!

Your visual would have been accurate from across the street - that with a bunch of cussing.
The sun is peaking over the mountain and starting to light up the big rocks on the shore, including the one that looks like the eye of a needle. There is a low fluffy cloud on the water about a half mile out. I can't tell you how cool it is to go to work and sit down in a cube with one glass wall overlooking the ocean.
