anyone into that. While I was in Damascus I found out that the town is on the TransAmerica Bicycle Trail. Here is a good site on that trail along with others that criss-croos the US

I did run across a journal of a guy who did the Natchez Trace Parkway. http://www.tourvelo.org/trace.html  very nice read and with good info

I used to go bicycle touring, but only for weekends and nothing long distance.  I'd park my van in Central PA. and take off for the weekend with panniers on my bike. I'd do a 100 mile loop over the weekend and camp out in the woods at night.  It was a lot of fun and I miss it.
