My tackle box isn't a box at all, but just a belt pouch with two fly boxes, extra leaders, tippet material, thermometer and an extra loop connector.  Around my neck, I hang a necklace type gear holder that has line clippers, hemostats, leader straightener, fishing license and a fly drying pad.  That's it and it's a simple setup that works for me.

I'm not sure and I'll see how the season goes.  Rock Run is a put and take stocked stream so if I went out there I'd fish Pleasant stream.

I would like to eat some fresh caught trout. That would be fun to do on a backpacking trip.

That's actually how I started backpacking.  Nothing quite like taking fish straight from the stream to the frying pan or foil.

Picked up a new trout rod 2 weeks ago, although it won't be going backpacking because it's a sold piece rod.

I tied some Royal coachman and pheasant tail dry flies, but not enough.  I really need to start tying more.  I'm hoping to get out and fish next week.

Man I need to get into this whole trout thing. I've got so many good waters within a few hours. It's just a question of knowing where to begin.

Visit a local fly shop if you are interested in fly fishing.  They can get you set up and some even give fly casting lessons.

It would be cool to catch a trout that big.  I won't be catching one around here that size, at least not on the streams I fish.
