It was a loser year in PA for any kind of skiing.  Winter dun come and went with barely a whimper.  We had to head north to the Daks to get some XC-skiing in, but it wasn't a total loss, gremlin taught us about different types of wax and how to use the hot iron, Ssssss!

Still can ski in the daks.  I may have to try and get out one more time.

Going back to Winter Park on Sunday...  The backcountry stuff will be good on up into May and maybe June in some places though.  i'm hoping to get at least one backcountry day in this spring or early summer.

A few ski areas in my area opened on Black Friday. That's all man made stuff, so for us Pa xc skiers, we're gonna have to wait a bit. I'm pretty sure we'll be xc skiing New Year's weekend in the Dacks though. Ooonga Boonga!

We better be.  We don't want Gremlin waxing for nothing.

Crazypace and I went xc skiing yesterday at Osceola Tug Hill in NY. Conditions were awesome. They've already received over 10 feet of snow this season, yet they are just over 4 hours from here where we have nothing. It was CP's 1st time on xc skis and he loved it so much, he bought new xc gear.
