My wife uses our most excellent xB Scion(The Toaster) to commute about 40 miles round trip. That aero-brick has about 105,000 and still runs like a scalded dog getting about 33-36 mpg.

She doesn't like the Versa all that much but it was about the best deal in dinky cars as far as roomy and low price.

I am tired like hell. Another booked out weekend ahead of me. I got an invitation for a Drachenboot race Saturday and Sunday. This evening we will have a first training. Friday I will work from home. I get more work done that way, since I will work from 7am to 7pm. In the evening bbq with friends in the mountains, possible with a bag night (if weather permits). Saturday morning I have to rush home. I will try to work another few hours before I have to go to the second Drachenboot training session on Saturday afternoon. Sunday early morning heading down to the lakes for the race.

Oh yes, the training for the Drachenboot race was fun. Despite me being tired and not feeling greatly fit, it was fun to be out, having met people and getting wet. For those of you who haven't been googling it, like MarkO did: Drachenboot = Dragonboat, a rather large canoe, with a man ad the rudder and another man beating the drums. Yes, there is one guy beating the drums, while the rest of the crew is paddling.
Tomorrow will be another training. And on Sunday will be the race day. I am looking forward to it. I only wish I would feel physically fitter. If only I weren't so tired. But what shall I do? If I stayed at home and tried to get some rest, as I probably should, I would miss out on a fun event. I am graving some fun as much as I am graving some rest and sleep.

Yoohooo! Friend just called. We will go tonight for a bbq and night hike and possibly bag night into the mountains. She will bring another friend and maybe some of her kids will come too. We hope to see some shooting stars.
I am so tired and exausted and yet get the best fun invitations all at the same weekend. That's crazy. I don't know how to stay awake or to surivive it, but hell, as long as I have some fun with it....

Have fun and enjoy the kids. Perhaps they can help you to become happily exhausted.

Why don't they talk?
