Anybody using them?
I picked up a set of Leki's when I was suppose to go to NC. What a difference they made on my recent hike. I can power up and over hills that I usually stop to rest 3-4 times on. Well worth the money

I usually use poles, great for easing the work of the knees, keeping balance on stream crossings, and distributing some of the work to my upper body so the legs last longer and the upper body doesn't weaken much on longer backpacks.

I used two telescoping hiking staffs.  They are very similar to the regular poles, but the have cork tops.  I got them at a great price at the REI garage sale.

Up. I use them most times. Depends on the terrain. I have vertigo---balance issues so they help me cross streams, and over rocky territory.

I've hiked with Poles a few times, but the dumb bastards are always getting lost.
