I have planned a hiking trip to Baxter State Park in Maine. First we will be hiking 44 miles on the AT in the northern portion of the Hundred Mile Wilderness - Sept 8-10. Then meeting in Millinocket for group grocery shopping we will then head into Baxter Park for a week of strenuous dayhiking. Our base is reserved cabins at Daicey Pond, Sept. 10-17. I have two vacancies left on my trip in one of the two cabins reserved. My group consists of 4 males & 2 females. At this time you could not reserve a cabin in Baxter Park for a week, red tape is eliminated and we will climb Mt.Katahdin twice including ascending the Cathedral Trail, descending the Knife's Edge and climbing North Brother Mt., Traveller Mt. and other scenic climbs and attractions in the park.
