At the moment, my life is consumed with homework. There are days when I don't even have time to take a breath! I'm so happy to be in school though, so I'm not complaining. My first business class is kicking my butt!

I'm ready for nice weather and some camping time with my son. He's getting into the tween years and already getting the tween attitude. I'm spending as much time with him as possible in case he totally stops talking to me in a couple of years because I'm "mom."

Things have been hectic for me- I've been off the trails way too long.   I've still got some things to do before I can snowshoe in good conscience.

Right now, I'm working on a case and sitting near a pile of midterms that need grading.  My biggest unpaid project (for now) wraps up in two weeks.  We have arranged for Kim Phuc - who was the 9 y/o Vietnamese girl in the iconic napalm picture - to come speak along with a Iraq Wat Vet and a couple other folks.   Kim has had quite a journey - she converted to Christianity, defected to Canada, and has raised a family and is a UN Goodwill/Peace Ambassador with a foundation to help children who are victims of violence.  I'm excited as well as worried and exhausted.
(info at http://bsofne.ning.com/  - scroll down a bit)

Oh yeah - I decided I had to reverse some weight gain and get back in trail shape after an injury so I altered what I eat and joined a gym for the first time ever.  I've been losing a pound a week all year so far - 15 pounds total.  Hopefully that will help my knees and the rest of me last longer.

Ok, I know there's not many people who actually frequent this forum, so I can narrow the culprit down to a few people. I notice I have an extra smite today. Why? Is it really necessary? Did I do anything to you? Let's all play nice today. No more smites. Thank you and have a grand day.

It doesn't pay to take those things seriously here.  I've got a few new smites myself and my smites outnumber my applauds.

That is a lot of smites you have muddy - but I've got one smite for every two posts.  You've only got one for every 5 posts.  You'd think I really excel at being offensive.

Add my smites and applauds, and I get almost one reaction entered per post.  Call me Mr. Controversial.

Don't you go talking 'bout my math!

Right now Muddy it says:
Muddy Karma: +27/-321
Posts: 1,769

321 X 5 = 1605    321 x 6 = 1926 looks like maybe 6 would have been a better estimate - it does look like its more like 5.51 posts per smite.  I have no idea where your 8.1 could have come from.

Hmmm. Take the positive figure and then enter it to the negitive figure and report back to me on that. If you notice my total post's does not equal the total of both sums for karma. Any how thats how I did it, a -8.1

I should of not said in reference to total posting. I just meant in total Karma rating. I should make a public apology.

Doing math on this forum is grounds for banning. This is your warning.

And people wonder why math literacy is so low in this country!
(Just kidding, I applauded you both).

Muddy it looks like you've had some applause since you did the math (which was why the figure was incomprehensible to me), but if I understand what you did, it should have been -.081 and now with some fresh applause you are up  to .09.

Anyways, this is a problem we can cure.  If we all do what we can, should be able to give Muddy enough applause to ensure the applauds never again go below 1/10th of his smites!

We all have free agency, I am happy with what karma I have been given. Please feel proud with whatever choice is applied.

Math was not very interesting to me at the time I could of learned more than I did.  At that time my numbers mostly were in the 9 ball, and 8 ball groupings. And then a few snooker matches. :)

Me smites just enhance my bad-boy image.

Ah, I wouldn't take to heart.  The internets was quite busy over the last few weeks. When some people get spooled up; it's hard to talk'em down.

Yo Q-ball, where you at? The mushroom woods are looking good up here! Nothing in our area yet but in a few weeks we should do pretty well.

I'm throwing my fishing rod in the car too!
