Is there a chance the trip could be canceled. I'll ask around but probably not likely I'll find anyone that wants to join.

Eggs....Not likely. I have already purchased my tickets and sent checks to hold reservations. If any body is going to be in Alaska it's gonna be me.
Now if I die before then enough said.....Harry aka Jackstraw will have all plans and know how to pull everything off.
I'll see you in Alaska and don't forget the bacon.

Cool so it's the five of us. Jackstraw, you, my Dad, Bobbie, and I. Is that correct?

By the way waiting for my Dad to get back from Africa in Jan. before we send the deposit.  He will be over there for three week in Jan.

Cool 16 is a good number of folks.

Does the float plane hold that many. I've been in a small Otter before 16 folks were not going to fit in it plus gear.

The plane can only take one person at a time I believe. So, he will be taking many trips back and forth when he drops us off and when he picks us up.

Bush Pilot has several other planes at his disposal with other pilots. His average turnaround time getting us out and back will be approx an hour. My last conversation with kirk was about our large group and he said he will be ready to get us all out there with his other plane and pilot. One of Kirks plane can carry 2 people as this plane is called the HULK. It is a 1952 modified super cub and the only one in existence today. I have flown in this baby and it's a GEM. I hope you all get to fly in it either out there or back. Kirk built this plane himself.
Kirk advised me that we need to get to Nabesna by noon as he can have all of us out at Jarvis North Face by 4pm. If we cannot cross one of the creeks on our way to Nabesna on the 42 mile Nabesna road he will fly out to another Airstrip located near the road and this would be a shorter flight of 45 minutes turn around time getting us out there sooner. I know exactly where this air strip is and is our back up plan if the creeks do rise. heheh we cross a creek 3 times and one is what some might call a river. Not deep but very wide.

Hey Fridge,

Where we will be camping are there good sized rocks. Thinking I could leave my tent stakes behind if there will be plenty of good sized rocks to use.  Plus it is real rocky stakes are pretty hard to use.

Eggs/ ROCKS.....There will be some our first night. When we get near creeks and streams you will have plenty....BUT.....if we set up on a grassy field area and that could be 2 nights you will have no rocks at all. I take my easton alum stakes and have used them half the time. It's really up to you.  You may get lucky and find some small willow bushes and make what you need in those non rock moments.  The tundra is hard to get a stake to hold so I run my stakes at a sharp angle almost horizontal to the ground only penetrating the first few inches and keeping stake at a horizontal position. The ground in some areas will be frozen several inches deep. When we set up camp first night you will notice as you walk around, you disturb ground water as it rises to the surface. I call it pumping. You can jump up and down a couple times and you will be standing in a small puddle of wet ground. This is not always the case every where. When you get there look for a dry spot ...jump up and down and check to see just how stable the ground is before you set up your tent.
First night camp we will have plenty of fresh water from snow melt so no need to take any water with you.
Nice pics you posted . Kirks planes have HUGH wide wings and HUGH tires. He said to me once...Mike...she is all wing and engine, nothing else matters.
