CRANBERRY GLADES WILDERNESS
Date.......May 23 - 25th

SIGN UP!


Trail #245 5.5 miles to intersect North Fork Cranberry shelter. Continue on FR 102 for 2 miles to intersect Tumbling Rock shelter and trailhead. Continue on Tumbling Rock Trail #214 2.6 miles to intersect North South trail for 8 miles to scenic route 150. Take the spur trail out to scenic route 150. Total Miles 18.1 miles

Meet at Forks Cranberry Trail #245 along scenic route 150 on FRIDAY the 22nd... evening and camp in some 1/2 mile in at a open meadow on the left. Saturday begin our trek along the top of Black Mountain for 5 miles to Cranberry River. Here we can eat lunch at a shelter along the river. Continue our trek on FR 102 to Tumbling Rock shelter and Trail Head #214 2 miles. We will camp just up this trail approx .2 mile. Sunday continue up Tumbling Rock trail #214 2.6 miles to North South Trail #688.

We need to fill up water at the last water hole along Tumbling Rock....pending weather forecast. Continue along North South Trail for approx 5 miles and camp sunday night. Monday make our way to scenic route 150 approx 3 miles.

This is Bear country so please bring your bear bags, containers. No water along Trail #245 and Trail #688. Bring plenty of water with you Friday night for saturday and we will tank up along Tumbling Rock just befor we top out on North South Trail. No water for the next 8 miles.
