I list is pretty short nowadays.

I am gunning for new Asolo boots this year.  It's not that I've worn them out, I have to use them for work now.  I bought these tuckers at an REI garage sale for ten bucks and broke them in on Isle Royale ---- and a yes not a one blissssster.

Maybe I should find new work boots and puts these fellas back in the gear closet.

I've tinkered around with all of the electronic gadgetry.  The problem is that in the colder months the stuff is fucking worthless at best.

Still have one of my first pieces of gear: Hilleberg Akto.  It was a close one; I almost got rid of it cheap last year.  But I changed my mind, washed and cleaned it and it's right back to brand new condition.  Damn I love people that make gear winter gear; gives me zipper marks.

Welp, I got a gift card that I hope to chew up at the garage sale on New Year's morning.  I'll be hungry like the wolf for other people more than myself, but you never know.

I also got the Ken Burn's flick on the National Parks, along with a book on the same subject.  Not a Burns fan at all, but it will make a decent addition to the visual collection in the library.

A few pieces of fleece wear and a kickin` buzz rounded out the day.

Yea!

I got a nice little camping lantern, some hiking socks, and a bladder. I really needed the bladder so I was pretty happy when I opened it. And, when I shared my joy of getting the bladder my family looked at me like I was crazy. They don't camp much, so of course they had no idea why I needed a "bladder."

lol.

I purchased a platy 2 liter about 6 months ago, filled it up for the trip and didn't use it (didn't make it on the trail).  I've got it hanging up on a hook in the gear room, with the water still in it.  I'm pretty impressed that the reinforced hanger hasn't bent, or has showed any level of stress.

One thing I came across recently is a car changer for my SteriPen.  I didn't know they made that beauty; I'll be able to charge it with my panel on the trail.
