I have to do a quickie meal tonight because of class.  Therefore, corned beef, coleslaw and redskins 'taters.

I made chicken fried rice tonight, with onions, peas and extra garlic. I also prefer it with basmati rice, for better flavor and texture, and season with tamari sauce, teriyaki, and a few shots of worchestershire sauce.

BrianSean is marinating some chicken.  i think they'll be brocoli in cheese sause too.  i bought a bunch of staples at walmart over a week ago and they are finally discovering that.  doh!  never mind that i've been telling them that there is food in the freezer and cupboards all along.

Going to be roast chicken, if the damn thing ever thaws out first. Homegrown sweet potatoes, some homegrown shallots over the chicken. Some time soon I'm going to make a leek pie with some of the leeks from the garden. I also have the last garden cabbage I need to use up.

I simmered the chicken carcass plus veggies, sage and parsley from the garden, several bay laurel leaves off of the potted plant, cinnamon stick, coriander, lots of garlic, peppercorns, and whatever else sounded good. THe house smells divine because of it.

That's now all in the fridge, and we had spaghetti with garlic and meat sauce.

My neighbor felt like making fudge, and she brought over a large dish of it this evening too. Homemade orange chocolate fudge. Yummers.
