I like hiking in the winter.  I tend to be able to breath better and the crowds are fewer :)

Im daydreaming about this winter....when I'm off on break and can go out into the woods.

I'm in a great winter backpacking location. But I won't be able to backpack the really high mountains until summer. So I day dream...

I'm starting to plan a 1 week trip in Yosemite, or Ansel Adams wilderness area mid July before I get to the camp I work at. My new BF wants to go who has never been backpacking. Should be interesting...you learn a lot about people that way.

hiking is sooooo much better in the summer heat. find a waterfall. go skinny dipping! improves any good hike a hundredfold!!!

Lumberzac + hiking + summer heat = heat exhaustion :-(

My son had the great opportunity of watching me get sick after hiking at the Walls of Jericho earlier this year. I don't know if it was heat exhaustion or just exhaustion.
