Sea kayaking
Don’t let the name fool you, sea kayaking doesn’t have to be performed in the ocean, and it normally doesn’t involve rapids. Sea kayaking can also be called touring kayaking. This means you paddling around lakes, rivers or oceans to take in the views.
Sea kayak boats
Sea kayaks are long and skinny. This is to provide more stability and to also give the paddler cargo room. Many people use this cargo space to carry tents and other camping gear for multi-day trips. Some sea kayaks also have a small rudder attached to the rear of the boat. The long length of the sea kayak can make maneuvering a bit difficult, so the rudder provides extra help.
