Arc'Teryx
Arc’Teryx is an outdoor gear company and was founded in Vancouver, BC in 1991 by Dave Lane and Jeremy Guard. The company first started out making Climbing equipment like harnesses under the company name of Rock Solid.
Over time, they expanded their product line and change their name to Arc’Teryx. Their first backpack line was the Bora.
Most of their equipment is geared towards the outdoors person wanting top of the line, technical gear. The company is now owned by Salomon, which is also a sub-company of Amer Sports.
What is an Arc'Teryx?
The name Arc’Teryx is derived from the earliest known bird, the Archaeopteryx. The company logo is taken from the The Berlin Archaeopteryx, the most complete Archaeopteryx skeleton currently known.
