====== Yellowstone National Park ======
Dedicated on March 1, 1872, Yellowstone National Park is the first and oldest [[national-parks|national park]] in the US. Yellowstone is located in the northwestern corner of Wyoming, and stretches into parts of Montana and Idaho. 

Yellowstone is best known for geothermal activity, like the Old Faithful geyser. Wildlife is also abundant in the park. It is common to see elk, bison and bear roaming the grounds. Be careful, these animals are wild. Take precautions and do not approach these animals.

Wildlife and geysers are not the only things to see in the park. The vast backcountry offers plenty of places to explore on quick [[hiking|day hikes]] or overnight [[backpacking]] trips. The park also has plenty of water for boating and [[fishing]].

Be sure to plan head, because reservations often fill up quickly. Don't leave the park without visiting Old Faithful Inn. It was first opened in 1904 and offers extraordinary architecture.
