This will be a trip that involves River Fording. The plan is to park along scenic route 150 at the North Forks of Cranberry Trail Head. Arrive some time early FRIDAY by 9 am or arrive Thursday night on the 12th. If you arrive thursday, there is a nice camp spot just in approx 1/4 mile along the Forks Cranberry Trail #245.

Friday we need to get going along Black Mt. Approx 3/4 mile in we will literally bushwack down off the Mt. Shoot a straight line azimuth NORTH and make our way to the head waters of the North Fork Cranberry River.

This section of the trip will be off trail and we could see Bears. I have done this before and this is a spectaluar section of the Glades to see.

We will follow the North Fork several miles fording our way to the Left Fork Cranberry River. Here we could find the river very deep iffin it rains or has rained within 24 hrs. HOI, LONEWOLF and I have personally seen this area at flood stages and crossed uuuuuuuu I mean swam our way across. I will be using the Pyramid method of river crossing or the Rope method. Both will be availiable to use. We take a left on the Left Fork trail #272. We will cross the river several times before we set up camp near Hunting Run.

Next day head down to the Cranberry River and FR 102. Take the FR road 102 approx 1 1/2 mile down river to intersect Tumbling Rock Run trail #214. Take this trail approx 2.6 miles to Intersect North South Trail #688. Take a left following the NS trail #688 to intersect the Laurelly Branch Trail #267. Take this trail approx 3.3 miles to intersect the Middle Fork Williams River Trail and set up camp here.

Next day we will ford the Middle Fork Williams River Trail #271 and head up river fording several times for approx 8 miles and set up camp where I know of a nice campsite with rock furniture.

Monday pack up and continue up the Middle Fork williams River Trail #271 and out to our shuttle ride parked at Big Beechy or North South Trail Head. Both are easily accessable.

We will be out early and could head down to Marlinton for an all you can eat Buffet style Dinner.

SIGN UP PERIOD. HOW bouts it Yankees?

Sounds good, this is the trip in June?

I'm not saying we should kill all the stupid people in the world. I'm just saying we should remove all the warning labels and let the problem take care of itself.

This giude in Alaska i have been chattin with has given me a secret mixer that attract bears. He claims they can smell it for several miles and has the same scent as a female in heat. We'll see....

LOL, I have enough bear pictures, both black and grizzly, haven't you seen my Flickr photos? Be sure to spray some on Brad if he comes along with Sherie this time ;-)

That Alaska spray might not work on West Virginia redneck bears.
