Osprey Stratos 40 AirCore Pack

New from Osprey®, the Stratos 40 daypack keeps it cool and under control, with a light and fast design for full-day summits or overnights. Osprey AirCore suspension features twin fiberglass struts for support with flexibility while carrying heavy loads. Tensioned, contoured mesh backpanel provides a form-fitting and stable carry while allowing full air circulation. Anchoring into top and bottom wings, the suspension system creates uniform pressure with no hot spots. Top-loading design gives you easy access to the pack's contents, with a zippered lid pocket for stashing maps and small items. Easy zippered panel-access allows quick entry to contents without having to empty pack. Front stretch pocket is ideal for stashing jacket, compass and other often-used essentials. Large stretch-woven side pockets hold water bottles and organize other small gear items. StraightJacket compression wings let you securely compress the contents of the pack whether full or nearly empty, without sag or load distortion. Wings buckle across the front when full; for smaller loads, connect straps to buckles at the edge of the backpanel, cinching one panel over the other. Sewn-in hipbelt and harness?both with Spacer Mesh?are contoured and anatomically shaped to provide extra control and comfort. Spacer Mesh promotes airflow and moisture management. Zippered mesh pockets on hipbelt let you stash small essentials, such as small digital camera, energy bars, gels and sunblock. Hydration-compatible design features hydration tube portholes and uses cavity behind mesh backpanel to hold reservoir, sold separately. Top grab-handle, twin ice axe loops and side compression straps round out the features.
