The Black Diamond Icon Headlamp uses two different types of LED bulbs to give you ultra-bright lighting when you need it and to save battery power when you don't.

The Black Diamond Icon Headlamp is designed with the ability to illuminate any area with different light options to save batteries and keep you safe. With a three-watt LED spotlight, four proximity LEDs and eight different brightness setting, the Icon can give you anything you need in respects to light. When paired with the NRG rechargeable battery kit (not included) you can use the Icon at full strength without worrying about running out of light or having to buy more batteries. When on expeditions or backcountry endeavors, you can used the alkalines and the four proximity LEDs for more than 160 hours of light, and no need to worry if you are going to lose your light at the wrong time with the battery power meter that displays an array of colors: green, yellow or red for constant surveillance of power.

The Icon Headlamp by Black Diamond is for serious night owls. Its compact front housing holds the three-watt LED flanked by four SuperBright LEDs to produce either a night-piercing searchlight—up to 80 meters—or bright ambient lighting. The Icon’s battery-power meter uses three colored indicator lights to intuitively display remaining battery power—green (50% or more) - yellow (20% or more) and red (less than 20%).
