"Great Soft Shell I have the Marmot Ascend for almost a year and have used it extensively. Very pleased with how light and thin the jacket is which makes it really convinient and easy for travelling around. Great fabric offers soft feel and classy look and is great for holding off water and wind. On cold weather, I would either wear a long sleeve underneath if I am using the Ascent as an outwear or I would wear a shell jacket over hit for colder weather. Love the side vent (armpit), helps kool you off so that you don't have to take off the jacket especially great when you are on the go. Super Great Zippers - it has not jammed on me once. Only knock is the sizing - it snug on your body tight compare to North Face Bionic. It can feel tight at first and can be uncomfortable if you have long sleeve undershirt but somehow the jacket would stretch - next thing you know you don't feel the tightness anymore. For me its a great investment! "
