"Not a true Arct'eryx Many people like Arc'teryx products because of their excellent workmanship and quality in their items. I just got these pants and noticed some stitching coming out from the stretchy belt area. I just cut it out and let it pass for a day, until I checked the tags and saw that these pants, unlike most Arc'teyx items are not made in Canada, but China. The price wasn't lowered and the quality wasn't as good."

" Palisade Pant These pants are extremely functional- they are light enough to be used in warmer weather, but wind resistant enough to be part of a cold weather trip. Would still need more insulation for temps below 35F, like long underwear. Pockets very well located."

" Pants with rough interior texture and likes to wrap around your legs As another reviewer mentioned, these pants are made in China. (It seems like Arcteryx is now manufacturing most of their "common" wear in China now, but doesn't seem to lower prices... They must have increased their logo price.) Regardless of that, the texture of the pants feels like rough microfiber-wear. Inside there's no soft layer, so the roughness gets your skin unless you are wearing a base layer. But these pants are a tight fit if you wear a base layer. Also, when you sweat, they tend to stick and wrap around your legs, if you know what I mean. However, overall quality of the pants (in terms of construction) is solid. They haven't fallen apart or ripped open at the seams, etc."

" Palisade Pants I've only worn these pants a few times (it's in the 30s-20s these days) but found that they're well-made, very lightweight, and shed muck pretty well. "

" Palisade Pant Mens I have worn this par of pants for two seasons tromping in the Chugach and Keni ranges. They repel water well and dry quickly, very comfortable and durable even under a harness or pack. Made in Vancover, BC. They must be the older model. "

"Arc'teryx does it again! keeping with the tradition of Arc'teryx, these pants are made incredibly well, they fit incredibly well and they feel, well, incredible. They are light, yet they keep the wind well controlled. You can't go wrong with anything Arc'teryx makes."

" Palisade pants I like the design and material but the sizing seems to run big. They were way too long and would need to be shortened. I ordered the Gamma LT pants instead...I've tried these on before and they seem to be a better fit."

" My New Day-to-Day Pants The gusseted crotch, integrated belt, lightly fleeced waistband, lightweight stretch material, and great cut make the Palisade incredibly comfortable. You can pretty much put them on and forget they're there (in a good way). The zip pockets let me hop on a bike without losing anything, but still lay comfortably parallel with my thighs. I recommend these pants for nearly almost any purpose, unless you need serious weather or physical protection. In that case find something thicker. I had no problems with sizing; I just checked myself against the sizing chart linked near the product price."

" Durable and comfortable pants I've logged over 200 back-country miles both on- and off-trail with these pants. They still look great. The fit for me is very comfortable. They dry very fast - faster than other nylon pants I have owned. I normally wear a size 32 but required a 34 tall in the Palisade (I'm 6', 175lbs). The material is a little noisy when you move in them."

" quality suffering I ordered two pairs of Palisade pants. On one, some of the weld on a pocket was not done. Had to return it. Also, the cargo pockets on this pant are placed too low. If you actually put stuff in them and walk about, the side of your knee will get banged up. The bottom of the cargo pocket should be at least a couple of inches above the knee joint. The overall quality of the construction seems to have gone down now that Arc has moved production to China. Hope Arc brings back the Blaze pant (with two cargo pockets this time). Hope they also iron things out with their Chinese manufacturer as well."
