Compact-sized poles are ideal for those with smaller hands and shorter stature. Shocklight shock absorbers weigh less than common spring-loaded poles and won't rattle within the shaft as you walk. Shock-absorbing poles reduce fatigue while improving stability; lock-out mechanism creates a rigid pole when needed for more efficient climbing. DuoLock™—an extra-strong internal locking mechanism—provides a big boost in performance. DuoLocks apply a wide area of pressure against pole walls to lock in length adjustment. DuoLocks showed 50% more holding power than other locking mechanisms during REI lab tests. Three-section telescoping poles extend to a maximum length of 49'' and compact to 24'' for easy storage and transport. Foam grips with an ergonomic, contoured shape are easy to hold; extended grip length allows pole to be held low during short side hill traverses. Adjustable padded neoprene wrist straps add support.
